This did not seem to work because you were not checking to see if the variables were set in index.php. I`ve corrected this and now the code worked. Other than that it works good.

Finally, a simple php (w/css) script that I can use.  I just didn't want to re-invent the wheel, but some of the calendar code wizards out there are pretty spaced out.  Thanks for this simple, usable script.
