The new line is represented by \n in a string.
To remove it, simply replace it with an empty string like this :
<?
$str = str_replace("\n", "", $str);
?>
Also, if you want it to be reflected in your HTML you should replace the \n with <BR>.
You can do that by using :
<?
$str=nl2br($str);
?>
Or
<?
$str = str_replace("\n", "<BR>", $str);
?>

My query is slightly different...
I had formed a $txt as follow :
$txt = $txt. "<b>Machine Serial No. </b>".$machineserial."<br>";
$txt = $txt."<b>Machine Model . </b>".$machinemodel."<br>";
Can I convert this to normal text so that text embeded in <b></b> will be bold and <br> will be replaced by new line
Please help
